Ok , pesto is a very simple and easy thing to make, it takes very few ingredients and even less time . Pesto is eaten mostly in Liguria , a region in northern Italy .
U need...
Fresh basil
Fresh parmesan cheese
Garlic
Extra virgin olive oil
Pine nits
O k I'm not great with measuring things but in this case I'll say 4 cups of basil , place in a blender with 4 cloves of garlic, a palm full of toasted pine nuts and half a cup of FRESH parmesan cheese, Pulse a little and then start to drizzle olive oil through the top of the blender while blender is on, the required consistency is thick and not too runny . Remember the less oil you use the healthier the pesto!!
Pesto can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days in an airtight container, or even frozen.
